The book of Revelation is intended to reveal Christ and His second coming, not conceal it. This book does an excellent job of taking us step by step through Revelation, showing just how simple it is to understand the basic concepts of this book.All too often teachers try to complicate it, twisting and turning it to fit their preconceived end times views. But when we allow the Bible to speak for itself, the basic understanding of events falls together easily. There is no need to explain away the most obvious meanings, or to look for hidden messages in the text. God inspired it, He said what He meant, and meant what He said.
I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in understanding the coming of Christ, and God's message for the church in the last days.
Also, my own book would make a great companion to Donald Rowen's. His book makes Revelation and the second coming easy to understand; My book goes into greater depth on many related issues, shows the many problems with the pretrib and posttrib views, and answers several critics of the prewrath view.

This is a great book that offers clarity on what is often considered a confusing subject. Headlines jump off the page in this fascinating and in-depth study of the book of Revelation. Definitely worth reading!
This book is the easiest book to read for the normal lay person who would like to get a better understanding of all the events that are going to take place in the last days. It covers the book of Revelation and end times like no other book I have ever read. And I have read many of them. Some of them cover the end times very well and some sound like a lot of intellectual rederict. They all mention that we need to become overcomers, but none of them tell you how. "Beyond Fiction," gives you a step by step outline on how to become an overcomer and how to get into fellowship with Jesus on a daily basis.
Doesn't really cover large sections of Revelation. In itself not too bad as it covers a lot of verses in the rest of the Bible about the end times. But one expects more of Revelation from the title. And yes, what he covers does make it simple as he takes the verses to mean what they say. But there were a couple of chapters having nothing to do with Revelation or the end times at all.
Good handling of the Pre-Wrath, showing that you had better prepare for persecution.
